1??Introduction

 

BY026-deuterium lamp switching power supply is developed by our company in March 2001. It is well applied in UV spectra chromatography apparatus and equipments in Beijing, Shanghai and other areas.

Compared to the traditional linear power supplies, BY026 type deuterium lamp switching power supply abolished cumbersome, inefficient industrial frequency transformer. It integrates filament preheating, high voltage triggering and constant current control using high frequency way to work. It is small size, light weight, high efficiency, The biggest advantage is applicable to international civil power in the 85 – 265V AC within the scope of any voltage lighting under all normal work, and to ensure the stability of UV spectra. The isolation of the power supply also has control ports, external control signals (such as CPU or manual) can easily turn on or off the deuterium lamp.

BY026 type deuterium lamp switching power supply use specialized design, its EMI level is A, this decrease interference to the apparatus circuit.

BY026 type deuterium lamp switching power supply has A and B models, Model A is applicable to filament voltage of 2.5 V, Model B is applicable to filament voltage of 10 V . They have same Shape, as shown in picture. Please pay attention to the matching between the power supply type and the deuterium lamp type when using.

As shown in Figure 1, down from the three interfaces for power input, deuterium lamp interface and control interface. Phase line and zero line in the Power input are no strict distinction, Grounding input must be connecting to Power input ground. Power input ground and cover already has connections, generally other grounded are not needed.

Deuterium lamp directly connected to deuterium lamp interface, as shown in

Figure 2, the wire cross-sectional area must be above 1 mm , and the connection

should not be too long.

 

 

A optocoupler is isolated from the power supply at the control port. The circuit is shown in Figure 3. The high voltage range is DC 3 ~ 12V, and the current is above 1mA. The control signal (HIGH LEVEL) turn off the lights, no signals (LOW LEVEL) turn on lights. Filament preheating time is controlled by the internal power supply circuit configuration, cannot be modified, triggered voltage is automatically applied to the anode after preheating voltage, without control. The signal port is used to determine whether the deuterium lamp is lit. This signal can be used for CPU.

5??Lights lit

 

The power input port is connected with AC 85 ~ 265V AC voltage, and the low

level of the mouth is controlled. Then the relay in the power supply is absorbed, the filament is preheated, the preheating time is set by the internal circuit of the power supply, and it is not adjustable. After about 10 seconds, trigger the action of the

circuit, light the lamp and enter the constant current working state. The trigger

voltage is automatically applied to the anode after preheating without any control.

About one hour later, high stable deuterium lamp ultraviolet energy can be obtained with a stability of 0.005 per thousand

  If the lamp needs to be temporarily extinguished, only a high current level of

DC 3 to 12V and more than 1 mA is needed at the control end. Note: the signal should be kept for at least 3 seconds to ensure that the internal circuit of the power supply is reset. After the light signal is removed, the deuterium lamp will start preheating and triggering. For the instrument using CPU control, if one starts to light and the machine is reset to high level in the output port of CPU, then the instruction is turned to low level. In this process, the lamp power is closed in a short time, causing the light circuit of the power source to not reset. That is to say, the light signal is removed and the light can not be used. Light up. The right thing to do is to turn off the lamp’s high level for 3 to 5 seconds while turning on, and then turn it to a low level to ensure that the deuterium lamp is successfully ignited.

 

 

 

 

 

The application diagram of the deuterium lamp state signal detection port is illustrated in Figure 4. The external resistance can be selected as 4.7-6.8K and the high level is in the 3.8-5.1V; if the signal is isolated, the external resistance can be replaced directly to the optocoupler. When the deuterium lamp is lit, the signal port is low; when the deuterium lamp is not lit, the signal port is high.

 

6??Installation

Power can be vertical installed (Figure 5) or horizontal installation (Figure 6). Power normally only need natural cooling, as in the high temperature environment of long working hours, should be equipped with a cooling fan.
